Overview Dental Care on East Main, 1617 Main Street, Easley, South Carolina 29640, is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional Friday until 12:00 PM. Why Heartland Dental? Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment. Review the patient’s health history to support quality care. Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.). Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act. Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping. Prepare treatment rooms with adherence to safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations. Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders as needed. Collaborate with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow. About Dental Care On East Main Dental Care on East Main is a Heartland Dental supported office, unique to the community and the patients served. Join a 4-person team that thrives on collaboration, communication, and community. Office located off Main Street, across from Dollar General. Goal-oriented, solution-focused, and transparent with feedback. Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state dental practice act. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Access to minimum PHI for job duties; HIPAA training and data safeguards compliance required. Preferred Experience 1+ years of experience in a dental setting. Dentrix or other dental software experience. Dental assisting school certification. Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation; reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities. Prolonged periods of sitting and standing. Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds occasionally. Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year. TB test is required for new hires in dental office positions; arranged during pre-employment; not applicable in FL & TN.
