Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Note - Travel Experience Required JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides specialized care to patients who are critically ill but stable enough to not require intensive care. This role involves close monitoring, timely interventions, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The PCU nurse plays a vital role in transitioning patients from intensive care to general medical-surgical units or discharge. Key Responsibilities Monitor and assess patients with acute and chronic conditions requiring intermediate care. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely. Respond to changes in patient conditions with appropriate nursing interventions. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education. Required Qualifications Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years. Proficient in electronic medical records and clinical documentation. Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Prior experience in Progressive Care, Telemetry, or Step-Down Units. Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification #J-18808-Ljbffr
