Patient ratios are 6:1 during the day and 7:1 at night. Staffing includes 3 techs per shift and unit secretaries on day shift. Equipped with IVs, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs. Documentation is done using a specific system. Requires every other weekend scheduling. Floating policy applies; staff may rotate to other appropriate areas as needed. Emphasis on patient experience and care quality. Additional unit-specific policies and guidelines available upon request. Prospective candidates should know about the supportive environment and experienced staff. Consideration for new equipment or technology as part of the assignment appeal.
