Electrical Superintendent

Licensed Electrical Superintendent – Multifamily Construction

BigFoot Staffing is partnering with an established electrical and mechanical contractor to hire a Licensed Electrical Superintendent. This individual will oversee field operations across multiple multifamily new-construction projects throughout the Willamette Valley.

The Superintendent will manage projects from planning through completion, ensuring that electrical work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes. This role requires an experienced field leader who can manage people, materials, equipment, schedules, inspections, and relationships across multiple active projects.

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience

What You'll Do

Field Leadership and Quality

• Supervise field crews and manage field personnel, processes, tools, and equipment
• Ensure electrical installations meet project scope, quality standards, applicable codes, and jurisdictional requirements
• Train and develop foremen, journeymen, apprentices, and laborers
• Delegate manpower based on project schedules, priorities, and field conditions
• Regularly visit projects to assess safety, quality, productivity, and progress
• Verify that field personnel have the proper training, certifications, tools, materials, and documentation
• Coordinate installation activities with other trades and building systems
• Document project progress through daily reports, required forms, and jobsite photos

Project Planning and Coordination

• Plan all phases of the construction lifecycle, from project initiation through completion
• Maintain and monitor project schedules, including activities involving the general contractor and other trades
• Coordinate project activities across multiple teams to keep deliverables on schedule
• Perform material takeoffs and procure equipment and materials according to project scope and schedule
• Manage jobsite logistics, including storage containers, water, heavy equipment, safety, access, and parking
• Coordinate with utility companies, inspectors, general contractors, owners, and other stakeholders
• Schedule inspections and conduct job walks with inspectors
• Identify project permit requirements and communicate them to the appropriate teams
• Attend kickoff, coordination, subcontractor, design, project-review, and closeout meetings

Budget and Risk Management

• Track labor hours, labor budgets, material costs, and overall project performance
• Maintain awareness of project budgets and identify potential cost savings
• Evaluate construction methods for practicality and cost-effectiveness
• Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans
• Review and price changes involving drawings, architect's supplemental instructions, and other contract documents
• Request purchase orders and monitor project equipment, materials, and supplies
• Maintain a daily accounting of completed work in relation to the project schedule and scope

Communication and Documentation

• Provide technical information to Project Managers for RFIs, change orders, submittals, and operations and maintenance manuals
• Communicate project progress, site logistics, coordination needs, and safety matters to general contractors and internal leadership
• Report delays, severe weather, emergencies, and other conditions affecting project performance
• Communicate manpower needs to company leadership
• Foster productive relationships with general contractors, owners, inspectors, and project stakeholders
• Coordinate project completion, inspections, owner training, and closeout activities
• Attend company project-status meetings and provide clear field updates

What We're Looking For

• Current Oregon electrical license appropriate for the position
• Significant electrical construction leadership experience
• Experience overseeing multifamily or comparable large-scale new-construction projects
• Demonstrated ability to supervise multiple crews or projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, construction methods, project scheduling, and jobsite safety
• Experience managing labor, materials, equipment, inspections, and project budgets
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and other construction documents
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively with project managers, inspectors, general contractors, owners, and multiple trades
• Basic English proficiency sufficient to understand safety requirements and communicate effectively with field personnel, vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders
