Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Pediatrics Position Title Faculty – Assistant or Associate Professor, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Location Stony Brook, New York Responsibilities The Faculty will serve as Attending Physicians in the Stony Brook Children’s Hospital Pediatric Emergency Department. Responsibilities include: Providing clinical care of acutely ill and injured pediatric patients in an ACS‑verified Level 1 pediatric trauma center. Training and supervising medical students, residents, APPs, and PEM fellows. Contributing to the division’s and the department’s educational, scholarly, and quality improvement programs. Qualifications Board certification in either Pediatrics (ABP) or Emergency Medicine (ABEM). Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (ABP or ABEM). Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of New York. Exceptional research and teaching experience is preferred. Hospital Resources 104‑bed Children’s Hospital with 10‑bed Med‑Surg PICU. ACS Verified Level 1 Pediatric and Adult Trauma Center. PEM Fellowship with one fellow per year. Compensation and Benefits The starting salary is commensurate with experience and training.
