Human Factors / Workflow Designer

Study how people work and design workflows where software, AI, and human judgment fit together safely. Impact Improve adoption by designing around real operating conditions. Clarify when humans decide, when automation assists, and how evidence is reviewed. Reduce friction, cognitive load, and avoidable process failure. What you'll do Conduct workflow studies, interviews, task analysis, and usability research. Map roles, handoffs, decision points, failure modes, and information needs. Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to improve workflows. Document recommendations and validate designs with users. What we're looking for 4+ years of human factors, UX research, service design, operations, or workflow design experience. Experience with complex operational, enterprise, or high-stakes environments. Strong research synthesis and communication skills. U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret security clearance. Comfort working with ambiguous mission, data, and engineering problems. Strong written communication and ability to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical teams. Preferred experience AWS experience is a plus, especially secure cloud, GovCloud, serverless, data, or AI services. AI, machine learning, LLM, agentic workflow, or decision intelligence experience is a plus. Experience in defense, government, manufacturing, aerospace, logistics, or other mission-critical environments is a plus.
