INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST

Job Title
The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and resolving difficult and complex security problems, providing guidance to leadership, and acting as the program lead for day-to-day management of a special security program.
The duties include administering the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security program, coordinating SCI security oversight for other SCIFs or electronic records management systems, and ensuring proper accounting for, control, transmission, transport, packaging, and safeguarding of SCI.
Additionally, the role requires reporting and investigating unauthorized disclosures of classified intelligence information in accordance with DOD Manual 5105.21 and other relevant DOD policies, providing briefings on local SCI security procedures, certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances and accesses, and conducting regular inspections and annual reporting to the DIA Deputy Director for Mission Services, Counterintelligence and Security Office (DAC).
