Traveling Project Manager

Our client, an established national general contractor, is hiring a Traveling Project Manager to oversee ground-up and mid-sized construction projects across the country. This is a full-time traveling position — the right person is comfortable living on the road, moving from project to project, and running work from preconstruction through closeout.

You'll own project administration, document control, subcontracts, pay apps, and scheduling while coordinating directly with owners, subs, and internal teams. This is a role for a proactive, detail-driven PM who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering projects on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Create subcontracts, payment applications, and project schedules
• Manage project administration and document control
• Maintain safety and quality standards on site
• Lead and participate in meetings between owners, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners and vendors
• Identify and resolve issues early to keep projects on track

What You Bring

• 5+ years of construction experience, and/or a Bachelor's or Master's in Construction Management or related field
• Working knowledge of multiple product types and trades
• Proven ability to manage mid-sized projects from start to finish
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore, MS Office, Outlook, Zoom, MS Teams, AutoCAD (plan viewing), and DocuSign
• Strong contract negotiation, strategic planning, and issue-resolution skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical specifications
• Resourceful, decisive, reliable, and personable — someone who owns the outcome

Physical Requirements

• Desk and computer-based work
• Job site walks of 1–2 miles; ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
• Full-time travel to project sites across the country
