Warehouse Assistant / Slitter Operator Assistant

Location: West Chicago, IL 60185 Pay: $18.50/hour (based on experience) Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Overtime: Saturdays as needed

Job Summary

We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant / Slitter Operator Assistant to support warehouse and production operations. This role helps prepare materials, move inventory, assist with production, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Label finished products
• Prepare cores and materials for production
• Move skids and inventory throughout the warehouse
• Assist with stacking and organizing finished rolls
• Verify inventory counts and pick lists
• Pull materials from stock as directed
• Remove scrap and maintain a clean work area
• Operate a forklift (if certified)
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Basic counting and inventory skills
• Forklift experience or certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail and safety

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting

Ability to handle and move heavy materials with proper lifting techniques or assistance. Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to machinery noise.
