Job Description JFCS is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Therapist to join our outpatient behavioral health team. The Clinical Therapist provides individual, family, and group psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing a variety of behavioral health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, substance use, and domestic violence. Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing evidence‑based therapeutic interventions, conducting crisis intervention and discharge planning, and maintaining timely and compliant clinical documentation. Therapists collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members, referral sources, and community partners to support client progress and ensure continuity of care. The Clinical Therapist serves as an active member of the treatment team, participating in clinical consultation, supervision, and quality improvement activities while maintaining the highest standards of ethical and professional practice. Associate‑level clinicians pursuing independent licensure receive supervision from experienced clinical supervisors who meet Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AzBBHE) requirements. Essential Responsibilities Provide individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy services based on client treatment needs and clinical appropriateness. Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans. Utilize evidence‑based treatment approaches, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma‑informed interventions, play therapy, solution‑focused therapy, and other clinically appropriate modalities. Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as needed to support positive clinical outcomes. Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and discharge planning services as appropriate. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, crisis plans, and discharge summaries. Meet productivity, documentation, and service delivery standards established by agency policies, payer requirements, contracts, and grant‑funded programs. Advocate for clients and assist with identifying and accessing community resources, supports, and referrals when clinically appropriate. Coordinate care and collaborate with family members, schools, healthcare providers, community agencies, and other stakeholders to support treatment goals and continuity of care. Participate in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities. Adhere to agency policies, ethical standards, licensing regulations, confidentiality requirements, and electronic health record documentation standards. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and client‑centered treatment environment. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution. Licensed in the State of Arizona at the associate or independent level (LAC, LMSW, LAMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT), or eligible to obtain Arizona licensure in accordance with Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AzBBHE) requirements. Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and evidence‑based therapeutic interventions. Ability to establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with individuals, families, and groups from diverse backgrounds. Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and manage a caseload effectively. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Demonstrated professionalism, ethical decision-making, and sound clinical judgment. Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and receiving clinical supervision and feedback. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Experience working with individuals affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, substance use, domestic violence, and other behavioral health concerns. Knowledge of community resources and experience coordinating care with community partners and referral sources. Experience utilizing evidence‑based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma‑informed care, play therapy, solution‑focused therapy, or other evidence‑based interventions. Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems and maintaining compliant clinical documentation. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Schedule & Work Environment This is a flexible hybrid position offering a combination of in‑office and telehealth services. Therapists are expected to maintain availability that accommodates client needs, including daytime, afternoon, and evening appointments. Occasional Saturday hours may be available based on client demand. JFCS operates between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and clinicians have significant flexibility in managing their schedules within those hours.
