Position Overview:

The Program Specialist serves as a strategic partner in advancing OCHIN's mission by supporting cross-functional initiatives that drive clinical, operational, and organizational excellence. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing program activities that align with OCHIN's strategic goals, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Program Specialist collaborates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes and operational performance. Through data-driven insights, best practice sharing, and continuous improvement efforts, the Program Specialist plays a key role in enhancing program effectiveness and member engagement across the network.

Essential Functions:

• Program Coordination & Execution: Manage and support program activities aligned with strategic goals, including day-to-day operations, project planning, and cross-functional coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Communication & Engagement: Serve as a key liaison to OCHIN members, customers, and partners by providing clear, timely, and customer-centric communication about program initiatives, updates, and opportunities for engagement.
• Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Research, recommend, and implement improvements based on best practices and performance data; contribute critical thinking and insights to enhance program effectiveness and member value.
• Data & Content Development: Create and maintain program documentation, reports, and visual content (e.g., dashboards, presentations) to support internal and external communication, learning, and decision-making.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education & Healthcare Experience: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and at least 3-5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare organization, such as case management, care management, or care coordination, with strong knowledge of medical terminology. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Quality Improvement: Experience contributing to quality improvement (QI) projects.
• Project & Portfolio Management: Proven ability to manage a portfolio of functionality and multiple complex projects at once, with strong attention to detail.
• Communication & Facilitation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, deliver presentations, and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficient in Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365, with basic data interpretation skills (e.g., run and control charts).
• Epic: Experience using Epic. (Preferred)
• Value-Based Care: Familiar with value-based care, including hands-on experience coordinating patient care to improve health outcomes and reduce costs. (Preferred)

Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50-60-minute competency assessment. OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home, and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

• Travel is required to support OCHIN's business requirements. Travel may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Base Pay Overview

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
