- # Speech Language AssistantApplylocations: Manchester, NHtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR2615**Job Description:**We are looking for a Speech Language Assistant to join our team and work alongside the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech, language, and hearing screenings, while supporting individuals in reaching their full communication potential.This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative clinical environment, contribute to the assessment process, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those receiving services. Responsibilities may include assisting with screenings, preparing materials, documenting observations, and supporting the implementation of communication-focused interventions under the supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist.**We're also excited to offer a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates joining our team!****Qualifications:*** Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders or Communication Disorders from a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Speech language Pathology* NH SLA Certification from the NH Office of Professional License and Certification* One (1) to three (3) years’ experience working as an SLA or experience working with children preferred* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation**Essential Responsibilities:****NOTE:** All duties are to be implemented as prescribed, directed and supervised by a New Hampshire licensed SLP. Documented supervision will consist of no less than 10% of direct time per week (on-site, in view) and 5% indirect time per week.* Assist the Speech/language pathologist with speech/language and hearing screenings without making interpretations.* Perform speech therapy as directed by Individual Education Plans developed by a licensed SLP.* Document client performance (charts, records, graphs) and report data to the supervising SLP to track client progress and quality improvement.* Assist SLP with clerical duties (preparing therapy materials, scheduling activities etc.).* Assist with departmental operations such as maintaining supplies and equipment and a safe work area.* Attend parent meetings with a Licensed SLP.* Assist the SLP with in service training and a public relations program* . Participate in staff development, attend meetings, and attend in-services as scheduled.
