Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,275 per week in Rapid City, SD

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701!

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to complex ICU patients across surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma populations in a mixed ICU environment divided into pods (MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU)
Manage patients with diagnoses including ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-cardiac cath, post-surgical, and multiple system trauma in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting
Administer and monitor IV medications including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics; manage hemodynamic lines, ventilators, and proning as needed
Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 (1:3 rare, acuity dependent); apply strong critical thinking and assessment skills throughout each shift
Document accurately using

Epic (required)

and operate Alaris/Baxter pump systems and Omnicell
May be asked to float to adult floors including Med/Surg or Telemetry (1:4 ratio) if overstaffed; may occasionally precept nursing students
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - South Dakota Board of Nursing (or compact eligibility); completion of a board-approved nursing education program required
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
TNCC certification required

• candidates unwilling to obtain prior to start will not be considered
  Minimum 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience; minimum one prior travel assignment required (first-time travelers not accepted)
  Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  Must reside at least 100 miles from any facility location to be eligible
  Preferred Experience / Skills
  Cardiac ICU experience preferred, including CABG/TAVR and 24-48 hours post-op management
  Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT strongly preferred
  Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and hemodynamic line management
  Comfort working in a team-oriented, high-acuity environment with all-critical patient populations
