About the Role Grade Level (for internal use):09. We are seeking a talented journalist to spearhead the expansion of our market-leading asset‑management coverage into infrastructure. The role involves covering some of the biggest public‑markets asset managers at a hugely exciting time for the sector, with public policies across multiple regions driving growth and innovation and higher interest rates impacting demand and performance across a range of infrastructure strategies. Responsibilities Uncover exclusive intelligence on new fund launches, innovations, and growth strategies across asset‑management companies. Monitor market dynamics, including which firms are attracting assets, and identify those that are underperforming, exiting, or shifting strategies. Track fund performance trends and analyze how managers are evolving fund structures and terms to attract a broader investor base. Deliver high‑value, actionable insights to investor relations teams to support market understanding, benchmarking, and growth opportunities. Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to support ongoing news gathering. Produce a consistent pipeline of exclusive news stories as part of a fast‑paced global public‑markets news desk. Attend and cover industry events and conferences, including international travel, to develop sources and deepen sector knowledge. Requirements Successful track record of reporting exclusive stories, preferably with at least two years experience in financial journalism. Willingness to work out of our NewYork or Boston office under a hybrid arrangement. Journalism degree or training preferable. Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
