Field Service Technician - 3099USA:TX:Odessa | Shop & Field Service Support | Full-TimeSummary: The Field Service Technician will repair, fabricate, install and remove a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps as well as other related rotating equipment, both in-shop and in the field; also, system troubleshooting, field alignment and equipment start-up, maintain company vehicles and shop equipment, accurately and professionally complete all field tickets and job reports.Responsibilities of the Field Service Technician include, but are not limited to:Working with all brands of centrifugal pumps, Positive displacement pumps, Gear pumps, Diaphragm pumps, H-Pumps and API pumpsResponsible to complete all tasks from installation, startup, scheduled maintenance, functional & performance testing, training, project closeout, and warranty transitionCheck all equipment after installation and prior to start-up of pumps and associated equipment within the allotted time and in a professional mannerGet service tickets signed by appropriate company representative before leaving locationWorks with customer to understand equipment issues, troubleshoot and diagnose root-cause problems, and arranges necessary parts and service to resolve issuesCommunicate relevant customer comments, inquiries, questions or concerns to appropriate DXP personnelQualifications of the Field Service Technician include, but are not limited to:3-5 years pump experienceExperience with rotating equipment repairAcceptable driving record required according to company guidelinesMust be willing to work off-site as well as the shopExperience with vibration and alignment toolsMust have your own hand toolsMust have good communication skills, professional appearance and technical aptitudeBe familiar and knowledgeable on all DXP productsPositively represent DXP when on location by having proper PP and a professional appearanceBe available for after-hours field service when neededEnsure a safe working environment, help others succeed, and other duties as assignedAdditional Information:Physical Demand: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbsWorking Conditions: Outside field jobs; extreme cold/heatTraining/Certifications: Any pump certificationsShift Time/Overtime: 40 hours a week with overtime as needed; will be placed on an on call schedule once trainedTravel: As needed; acceptable driving record according to company guidelines; company vehicleEducation: High School Diploma requiredLocation: USA:TX: OdessaDXP offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time regular employees, normally working a minimum of 30 hours per week, including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, paid holidays, life and disability insurance, and additional supplemental benefits.
