Delivery Driver

Delivery Drivers must be 18 years or older, possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and have a clean driving record with a minimum of two years of experience as a licensed driver. Delivery Drivers assist with order taking, sandwich making, food prep, and maintaining restaurant cleanliness in addition to delivering orders Freaky Fast and Freaky Safe. Starting Pay & Incentives Begin at $10.50 per hour , with a guaranteed $0.50 raise after completing driver training and 90 days of employment. Our Rockstar Delivery Drivers can average $25 per hour or more , including tips and daily-paid mileage reimbursements ! Responsibilities Responsible for customer product and service standards Foster an environment of teamwork Responsible for delivering an exceptional customer and store experience Greet and thank every customer with a smile and eye contact Execute quality store operations Clean store, small wares, etc. as necessary Adhere to all food, safety and security guidelines Must be able to operate cash register and handle cash transactions while adhering to all cash handling policies Open availability is a huge plus! However we will accept all availability. Additional Requirements Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs. regularly throughout shifts Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F To be considered for a delivery position all applicants must agree to a motor vehicle records pull. If the applicant does not meet our guidelines for being a delivery driver, we reserve the right to not offer employment. Training Introduction At Jimmy John’s, we use a blended training approach to build the knowledge and skills for you to be successful in your role. We use Managers and in-store trainers, called Brand Ambassadors, to provide you hip-to-hip training on how to perform each task at a JJ’s and we also use FAST TRACK, which is our Learning Management System (LMS) that provides you e-learning courses, job aids and other operational tools to reference, on your pathway to becoming a JJ ROCKSTAR. Blending hand-by-hand learning with computer-based instruction gets you ready to rock your first 30 days at JJ’s.
