Job Title: Cash Application Analyst
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Cash Application Analyst to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Contract to Hire opportunity is located in Philadelphia, PA and follows a Hybrid work arrangement with onsite collaboration required at least three days each week. The individual in this position will play an essential role in ensuring accurate payment processing, financial record maintenance, and operational efficiency while partnering with multiple internal stakeholders. This role is well suited for candidates who enjoy analytical work, problem solving, and contributing to process improvements within a fast paced environment.
Compensation:
$24.50/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours, 37.50 hour work week
Key Responsibilities of the Cash Application Analyst:

• Analyze incoming payments and accurately record financial transactions across business systems while maintaining data accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
• Coordinate with accounting, billing, and revenue related teams to research discrepancies, resolve payment allocation issues, and support accurate account reconciliation.
• Maintain daily balancing activities by reviewing financial records, investigating variances, and ensuring timely resolution of exceptions.
• Support payment operations by processing incoming correspondence, managing transaction workflows, and completing assigned tasks within service level expectations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes, improve workflow efficiency, and assist with special projects that support business objectives.

Qualifications and Skills for the Cash Application Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree with up to two years of related experience, or two or more years of accounting, cash management, payment processing, or similar experience in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with the ability to navigate multiple business applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail with the ability to evaluate financial information and resolve issues effectively.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain productivity within a deadline driven environment.
• Experience within banking, treasury, healthcare, insurance, enterprise financial systems, or other transaction focused environments is preferred, along with the ability to work onsite and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
