You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.Our Quantitative Investment Science group is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to fully manage and deliver our private equity data platform. This hands-on leadership role requires a proven history of guiding software projects to successful production. You should have extensive experience with private equity financial data and an entrepreneurial approach. You will build scalable data systems that directly support investment, fund, and portfolio decision-making.The ideal candidate is someone who is:A self-starter with a love for technology, software application delivery, and mathematical applications!Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration capabilitiesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills coupled with outstanding attention to detailA passion for finance and financial markets!A track record of successful SaaS software deliveryWhat you will do:Take ownership and lead on features and functionality, design, code, run and maintain pipelines, transformations, views, test suites for applications and data validation purposesMentor team members on software and data engineer guidelines and processesLead work with Data, DevOps and Application development teams on integrating automated testing with CI/CD processesInvolved in testing and deploying internal data quality applicationsImplement and delivery data quality pipeline frameworksImplement and deliver data warehouse pipelines and modelingWhat you bring:Demonstrated ability Leading Data Engineering and Analysis teamsExperience mentoring engineers on standard methodologies and establish guidelines while remaining hands-onProven experience with data-centric testing and deployment of FinTech based applications, data analysis, data pipelines and ETL for large datasetsProficiency in MSSQL or equivalent SQL RDBMSProficiency in PythonExperience with DBT and Azure Data Factory and PipelinesExperience with MS Synapse and Snowflake desiredFamiliarity working in a scrum/agile SDLC environmentPreferred but not vital: Business Intelligence and Analytics application experienceExperience delivering software applications and data to a wide audienceEducation PreferredBachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experienceMaster of Science (M.S) or equivalent experienceExperience8+ Years of Data Engineering and software delivery experience preferred3-5 Years of Technical Project Leadership experiencePartner directly with investment, finance, and operations teams#LI-HybridBase Salary Range$220,000.00 - $230,000.00This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.
