Details Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of the Women's Pavilion, a 13-bed unit with 8 LDRs and 5 triage beds Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM with EOW (every other weekend) requirement Floating required between departments within the Women's Pavilion Call requirement of two 12-hour call shifts every 6 weeks, with one required to be a weekend shift Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 per AWHONN Staffing Standards EMR systems used: CPN (GE) and Cerner Care provided across antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care Triage responsibilities for patients 20 weeks gestation and up Requirements Active GA or compact RN license BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required 2+ previously completed travel assignments in Labor & Delivery required CPN and Cerner EMR experience preferred Additional Information Monitor and assist laboring patients while communicating with providers regarding plan of care Circulate for vaginal deliveries with circulating for cesarean deliveries preferred Attend deliveries to support newborn resuscitation and recover vaginal and cesarean delivery patients Provide care to antepartum patients requiring care in the L&D unit Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction to assigned personnel as needed Navy blue scrubs required Block scheduling may be accommodated if weekend requirements are met Minimal RTO accommodated, limited to requests of less than 1 week, contingent on meeting weekend requirements Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
