Finance Manager opportunity - can be based out of Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL Finance Manager will support a confidential multi‑company organization with 20 operating companies across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Ohio. Lead Financial Operations Across a Growing Multi‑Company Organization Build scalable financial infrastructure, serve as a strategic business partner, and lead accounting and financial processes across the organization. What You’ll Do Own the accounting infrastructure across 20 operating companies and ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial reporting. Primary Responsibilities Lead monthly financial close activities across all operating companies while maintaining an efficient five‑business‑day close process Own the accounting administration and optimization of ServiceTitan and Sage Intacct Ensure accurate general ledger management, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting Develop and maintain standardized job costing and revenue recognition practices Manage pricing cost structures, labor costing, inventory accounting, and profitability reporting Lead audit preparation, tax compliance, internal controls, and regulatory reporting Partner with external audit and tax advisors Oversee treasury activities, cash management, and balance sheet integrity Lead accounting integration efforts for newly acquired businesses Develop and mentor regional accounting managers while building organizational capability Partner with General Managers and Regional Directors to provide trusted financial guidance and reporting support What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred) Progressive accounting leadership experience in a multi‑entity environment Experience leading month‑end close, consolidations, and financial reporting Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes Experience managing and developing accounting teams Demonstrated success improving financial processes and systems Ability to communicate financial information clearly to operational leaders Experience supporting acquisitions or multi‑location organizations is highly desirable Experience with ServiceTitan, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP and operational platforms is a significant advantage Technology and Culture Technology plays an important role in the finance function. You will leverage modern financial and operational platforms—ServiceTitan and Sage Intacct—to improve reporting accuracy, automate processes, strengthen controls, and deliver meaningful business insights.
