Description:
The position requires a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room.
The role may include floating between units, though it is not required.
On-call duty is not required for this position.
Candidates must commit to working weekends, specifically 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.
Block schedules are approved but not mandatory.
The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3.
Special requirements include current certifications in ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Experience with the Epic charting system is necessary.
Prior experience working in a community hospital is required.
Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
The daily patient census is 136, with an average of 136 visits per day.
Patient diagnoses may include stroke, STEMI, chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, and others.
The facility is classified as a Level II Trauma Center.
Candidates should be prepared to support patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Compliance with dress code and uniform policies is expected.
Essential skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line management, stroke certification, and triage.
Orientation and training will be conducted as needed.
References may be required to ensure compliance with eligibility criteria.
