Job Summary:
A Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse position is available in Hermiston, Oregon. This role involves providing direct and individualized nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires the ability to assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: Hermiston, Oregon
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon; Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN); Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN); previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience; CRASE training (required if travel assignment exceeds 6 months)
• Additional Information: The role involves performing a variety of nursing duties, recognizing patient rights and responsibilities, conveying empathy, maintaining patient confidentiality, and providing age-specific and culturally sensitive care. Agency nurses may be floated to other departments within their qualification scope. Participation in required education programs related to DNV standards is expected.
