Job Description

Hospital is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) for a 13-week travel contract in its inpatient Behavioral Health Crisis Stabilization Unit in Helena, Montana.

The RN will provide care to adult patients aged 18 and older who require behavioral health crisis stabilization. The unit has patient ratios of approximately 1:7 to 1:8. Candidates should have strong psychiatric nursing experience, active BLS and CPI certifications, and Epic EMR experience.

Candidates with at least 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience are required. First-time travelers may be considered if they have 3 or more years of psychiatric experience . The role includes floating as required.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Psychiatric / Behavioral Health RN experience

• First-time travelers may be considered with 3+ years of psychiatric experience

• Previous travel experience preferred/required as indicated in the requisition, with first-time traveler exception noted above

• Active Montana RN license or compact license

• Current BLS and CPI certifications

• Epic EMR experience

• Inpatient behavioral health or crisis stabilization experience

• Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:7 to 1:8

• Willingness to float as required

• Must meet the 200-mile radius rule for travel candidates
