Job Summary
The facility is seeking a qualified Operating Room (OR) nurse for a travel assignment in the clinical nursing field. This role involves providing specialized perioperative patient care across various surgical procedures, with a focus on ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective communication within the surgical team.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides comprehensive assessment and direct patient care to surgical patients, demonstrating clinical skills that support the delivery of high-quality care. Ensures thorough and accurate documentation, adheres to established policies and procedures, and maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, current RN license, BLS certification, 0 years of experience required; experience with assessment skills, clinical skills, nursing care, emergency equipment, and procedures.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Demonstrates knowledge of conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment relevant to surgical patients. Supports pre-operative and post-operative assessments and education, including patient testing and documentation. Must be able to scrub and circulate on robotics, orthopedics, neuro, and general surgeries.
• Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred.
• Skills: Assessment skills, clinical skills, nursing care, emergency equipment and procedures, documentation, patient education, policies and procedures, national patient safety goals, universal protocol, safe transfer techniques, body mechanics, conditions and diagnoses, procedures, equipment, pre-operative and postoperative assessment, patient testing, pre-admission testing, documentation guidelines.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate clinical competence and be able to work effectively within a perioperative team environment.
