Manual Machinist

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00 / hour (Depending on Experience)


Location: Baton Rouge, LA (70809 area)


Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Hours may vary)


Express Employment Professionals is looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to join an industrial supply, repair, and distribution warehouse team in Baton Rouge. If you have hands-on experience setting up, operating, and maintaining manual machinery, apply today!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual lathe and mill machines with high precision.
  • Cut, weld, and rebuild equipment shafts to required specifications.
  • Perform alignment setups and calibrate parts for industrial motors and supply equipment.
  • Inspect finished components for accuracy and maintain a safe, clean shop workspace.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist operating mills and lathes.
  • Strong skills in shaft cutting, welding, and alignment procedures.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory 10-panel drug screening and background check.
  • Must supply and wear steel-toed work boots/shoes (company uniform shirt provided).
