We are excited for you to join our organization to advance the mission and operational effectiveness for our continued growth to serve the community.Position Summary:The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing accurate and friendly customer service, and is responsible for preparing patients to see our dentist. This may involve preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing dental instruments, and performing some basic dental hygiene tasks. In addition to be attentive to daily office operations, and being accessible and responsive.Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare patients to be seen by our dentistsHelp maintain a sterile work environment by sanitizing dental instrumentsSet up instrument trays, treatment materials, and assist in basic dental proceduresTake X-rays of patients’ teethCollect, record, and maintain the dental records of patientsProvide patients with information on dental hygiene and oral healthEnsure HIPPA Notice of Privacy PracticeEnsure standard infection control precautions for front office and patient lobbyOther duties as assignedEducation/Training:Certification from an accredited dental assistant programDental X-ray certificationHS Diploma/GEDDemonstrated proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPointSkills/Abilities:To excel in this role, you should be self-motivated, highly organized, a good communicator, and have the talent to inspire patients and the team.Proficiency in DentrixProficiency in Dental terminology and workflowCommunication skillsSome management/leadership skills #J-18808-Ljbffr St Ann Center For Intergenerational
