Shop Mechanic

We are currently seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our team in Tracy, CA.The Shop Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a variety of gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, stake-bed trucks, vans, pickup trucks, and construction equipment.Schedule:Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Responsibilities:Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tune-ups, brake and shock replacementsPerform work from floor creepers, two-post lifts, jack stands or in-ground liftsInspect and diagnose engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipmentTroubleshoot equipment and vehicle performance problemsCollaborate with supervisors, managers, and internal teams to provide updates on repair status and material requirementsEnsure a clean and safe work environment while strictly adhering to all safety protocolsPerform test drives of vehicles in compliance with company guidelinesAssist with additional duties as needed to support departmental operationsRequirements:Minimum of 10 years of recent, relevant experience as a shop mechanicProficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively and prepare clear, professional reports and emailsAbility to stand, walk, work from floor creepers, bend, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workdayValid driver's licenseAbility to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle record (MVR) checkAbout the Company:Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service and construction company with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality electrical and plumbing solutions across California and other states.
