Mosquito Control Technician
$20 - $25 per hourMosquito Joe
We get it. You have options when it comes to a career in pest control. When you put on a Mosquito Joe uniform, you become part of the family-a group of people committed to excellent customer service and passionate about making the outdoors a place that's fun for everyone.
We're not a standard, run-of-the-mill pest control company. We have it so much better. We only treat outdoor pests like mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, and other outdoor pests - no crawl spaces, no attics, and no scary sheds to deal with. Instead, you get to work outside, drive a sweet company ride, and get a quick workout. You'll make some bugs and pests take a long nap and leave the customer to make fun memories outside again! This truly is one of the best pest control jobs on the planet and if you're ready to work outdoors while traveling locally, and love helping people, apply today! You could be the next neighborhood hero! Your Mission if You Choose to Accept It - Responsibilities as a Certified Pesticide Applicator...• Stay up to date - Maintain licensing requirements and proficiency to conduct Mosquito Joe services.
• Doing It with Style - As the face of the Mosquito Joe brand, you bring professionalism by following our Mosquito Joe process. In addition, you go above and beyond to deliver an unforgettable customer service experience.
• Stay off radar - Ensure company is in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Be all knowing - Provide expert advice and training to franchise business owner, field technicians and customers on outdoor pest control. This Pesticide Applicator Job is For You If...
• You love being outside.
• You would rather be physically active than stuck behind a desk.
• You enjoy variety. Every property is different, with different problems to solve.
• You value being a leader and are ready to use your excellent communication skills to lead our field team of mosquito experts.
• You enjoy seasonal work. This is the type of job where you work hard for a few months of the year and can do something else the rest of the time. To Succeed in this Role as a Pesticide Applicator...
• Always bring your A-game . Remember, you are always on a public stage. You might think no one is home or watching, but you might impress someone with your pest control professionalism!
• Take training of others seriously. Provide expert advice to franchise business owner, field technicians and customers on outdoor pest control.
• Do it right the first time. Ensure field technicians are following the Mosquito Joe process. You don't want the customer to call the field technicians back out to do it over.
• Leave the whining at home. Some days the work will be hard. It will be hot. You will not want to work. Then your work ethic will kick in, and you'll show up with a smile. Job Requirements... There are a few minimum requirements for our Pesticide Applicator:
• You must be able to lift and carry a backpack, which weighs 65 lbs. (This will be your strength training workout.)
• You must be able to walk with a 65 lb. backpack for a long period of time. (This will be your cardio workout. You can cancel your gym membership)
• You must be able to handle the summer heat. (It's like being paid to go to the sauna.)
• Maintain current and valid state certifications/licenses to enable the business to service residential and commercial properties
• Have commercial pesticide applicator certification/license to enable business to apply for a pesticide business license Benefits & Pay... The pay range for this position is $20 to $25 and depends on whether you have prior experience in this or other similar mosquito or pest control positions. What we have to offer:
• No nights, no weekends, or holidays - Work hard during the week so that you can enjoy nights, weekends, and holidays with your friends and family.
• Great Perks - Enjoy access to a franchisee-supplied vehicle while you work and earn bonuses and recognition.
• Fun Work Environment - We are committed to making outside fun again. If you like to work hard and play hard, this is the place for you. We're looking to hire those who share our passion for fighting mosquitoes and other outdoor pests. If that's you, apply today to join the frontline of defense to control mosquitoes and you could be the next neighborhood hero. If you meet the general labor requirements for the position, our system will schedule you for an interview immediately.
