Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for software products, IR&D projects, and innovation initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Lead development teams in the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of modern software solutions.Define and maintain software architecture standards and best practices.Lead AI/ML, cloud, and digital transformation initiatives.Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews while enforcing software quality standards.Mentor software engineers and provide technical guidance across programs.Support hiring activities including interviewing, candidate selection, onboarding, and workforce development.Partner with leadership to develop and execute software strategy and technology roadmaps.Collaborate with customers, program managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver mission-focused software capabilities.Work Environment:Location: Beavercreek, OHTravel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%Working Hours: StandardRequired Qualifications:Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearanceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline15+ years of software engineering experienceExperience leading software development teams or engineering organizationsExpertise architecting complex cloud-based and distributed software systemsProficiency in PythonExperience with APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps methodologiesExperience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologiesExperience with database technologiesDesired Qualifications:Experience as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO)Startup company experienceAWS and AWS GovCloud expertiseKubernetes experienceKnowledge of FedRAMP and NIST frameworksActive Secret security clearanceExperience supporting DoD or federal government customersReady to Make a Difference?If you're excited about making a significant impact in the field of space defense and working on projects that matter, we encourage you to apply and join our team at KBR.
