QC Analyst – Filling & Assembly (1st Shift)

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QC Quality Analyst to support and lead quality operations during 1st shift in the Filling and Assembly areas. In this role, you will oversee daily QC activities, conduct and supervise in-process inspections, ensure documentation accuracy, and work closely with cross-functional teams to uphold product integrity and regulatory compliance. As a hands-on team lead, you’ll help drive quality excellence on the production floor, mentor technicians, and act as a key liaison between Quality, Production, and Engineering to ensure seamless execution and resolution of quality-related matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead daily QC activities on first shift filling and assembly lines Oversee in-process inspections, line clearance, and visual checks to ensure adherence to product specifications and cGMP requirements. Review and approve batch records, labels, and Specification & test records with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Help investigate CAPA, coordinate Change Controls, QC Standards. Coordinate timely sample collection for stability, microbial, and physical/chemical testing. Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues during production; lead the documentation of deviations, NCRs, and OOS events in compliance with cGMP and internal procedures. Coordinate and prepare Specification, COA, COM and other documents as related to this role. Provide hands-on training to Quality Technicians on cGMP compliance and GDP. Monitor trends and collaborate with Quality and Production leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure cleanliness and calibration of quality equipment. Report on any safety and compliance protocols in laboratory and production environments. Participate in internal audits and support Regulatory or customer inspections as needed. Communicate test results, concerns, and critical findings to supervisor accurately, promptly and professionally. Collaborate with the supervisor to oversee quality tasks and provide training, guidance, and support to the quality department in areas such as GMP practices, inspection and lab techniques, documentation standards, etc. Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

1 to 3 years of experience working in a GMP-regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, OTC, or food manufacturing, with preferred background in leadership or team coordination. Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations, batch record review, and quality documentation practices. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines effectively. Excellent attention to detail, with strong time management skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to mentor team members and promote a positive, quality-focused work culture.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, with 1-3 year of experience in Quality Control within pharmaceutical, personal care, food, or industrial settings. Must be fluent in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Primarily sedentary work performed in an office environment, including extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Frequent walking and standing required when working on the production floor, attending meetings, or engaging with plant personnel. Exposure to manufacturing environments, which may include noise, dust, temperature variations, and the need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to lift and carry materials such as files, laptops, or lab equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity are necessary for reading reports, viewing computer screens, evaluating test results and communicating effectively in person and via digital platforms. Manual dexterity for keyboarding, writing, and handling lab tools and technology. Occasional travel between manufacturing sites or to attend off-site meetings, trainings, or conferences.
