- AWS
- Databricks
- Python
- Databricks
- Experience with any ETL tool
- Extensive experience in data migration projects utilizing AWS, Databricks, and Python
- Proficient in migrating data from on-premises databases to AWS Cloud (specifically S3) using Databricks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key information required for decision-making
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, including decomposing complex issues into manageable components and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
- Ability to distinguish root causes from symptoms and involve appropriate stakeholders to resolve issues
- Capable of delivering sound decisions efficiently
- Adept at developing data-driven solutions that align with business objectives, practices, and procedures
- Build and operationalize complex data solutions, address system issues, perform data transformations, and recommend data cleansing and quality solutions
- Design sophisticated data solutions to support business requirements
- Analyze complex data sources to assess value, determine usage, and provide recommendations for inclusion in analytics processes
- Incorporate core data management principles, including governance, security, and quality
- Collaborate across teams to support project delivery and educate end-users on advanced data products and analytic environments
- Conduct comprehensive data and system analysis, troubleshoot and resolve complex defects and incidents
- Test data movement, transformation code, and data components thoroughly
- Maintain domain expertise, keeping up-to-date with relevant technical concepts and industry trends
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of eight years of related experience in data engineering
- High proficiency with cloud platforms, programming languages, modern software engineering practices, and data manipulation techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
