Requirements: Built for the Grind 5+ years of CNC experience, specific to mill and lathe machining Proven experience setting up CNC machines Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems is advantageous Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and documentation Solid mathematical aptitude, including geometry and trigonometry High School Diploma or GED Your Day, Start to Finish Set up CNC mills and lathes and perform adjustments to ensure optimal production performance. Prepare tools, fixtures, and materials required for each job prior to machining. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to execute precise machining operations. Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and job requirements. Establish work offsets, zero points, and tool lengths for accurate machining processes. Verify machine programs through test runs and adjust as necessary to meet specifications. Monitor machining operations, making real-time adjustments to maintain part quality and efficiency. Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and probes. Perform basic troubleshooting and collaborate with programmers or supervisors to resolve issues. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety policies and ISO standards. Communicate job progress, delays, and technical concerns with supervisors and team members.
