Job Title: Order Picker Job Description

This role focuses on accurately picking, packing, and shipping parts within a busy distribution warehouse that supplies replacement components for products such as four wheelers and ATVs. You will work with a warehouse management system, RF scanners, and material handling equipment to ensure parts move efficiently from storage to shipment while maintaining accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities
  • Pick a wide variety of parts, including washers, frames, stickers, decals, belts, bearings, and other components, according to order requirements.
  • Use a push cart to move through the warehouse and collect products from designated locations.
  • Operate a reach truck to access and retrieve inventory from higher storage locations as needed.
  • Use an RF scanner to scan products and record picks accurately into a laptop and warehouse management system.
  • Perform bin transfers by placing small parts into bins, scanning them into the system, and transferring them into the new warehouse management system.
  • Pack picked products securely and label them correctly to prepare orders for shipment.
  • Assist with receiving incoming products, including scanning, organizing, and placing items into appropriate storage locations once fully trained.
  • Follow established procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and support efficient warehouse operations.
  • Handle general labor and material handling tasks to keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
Essential Skills
  • 6 months to 1 year of warehouse experience.
  • Proven reach truck experience and ability to operate a reach truck safely.
  • Experience with order picking and working in a pick-and-pack environment.
  • Proficiency using RF scanners to scan and record inventory movements.
  • Ability to perform material handling tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort using a warehouse management system to complete bin transfers and update inventory.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when picking, scanning, packing, and labeling products.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using push carts and other basic warehouse equipment.
  • Background in general labor roles within distribution or logistics environments.
  • Familiarity with handling small parts and organizing them into bins or designated storage locations.
  • Ability to adapt to new warehouse systems and processes as the operation transitions to a new warehouse management system.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly work areas and support efficient workflows.

Work Environment

You work in a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled warehouse environment designed to support efficient pick-and-pack operations. The role involves regular use of push carts, RF scanners, laptops, and a warehouse management system, as well as operating a reach truck and handling various materials. You can expect to be on-site working an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule, performing a mix of physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., walking through aisles, and managing inventory in a structured and well-maintained facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
