FindTalent is seeking a detail-driven  Commercial & Industrial Electrical Estimator to join a well-established and fast-growing electrical contracting team based in either Ohio or Indiana . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator to lead the preparation of competitive bids for a wide range of commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of electrical systems, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You’ll play a vital role in supporting business development and project delivery through accurate, timely estimates and collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare complete, detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.

• Review project drawings, specifications, and related documents to develop a thorough understanding of project scope.

• Attend pre-bid meetings and internal scope review sessions to gather and clarify requirements.

• Perform quantity takeoffs across systems including power distribution, lighting, controls, fire alarm, and more.

• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain current pricing and ensure competitive bids.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and customers to align project expectations.

• Utilize electrical estimating software (preferably Accubid) to compile and submit professional proposals.

• Coordinate with preconstruction and operations teams to smoothly transition awarded projects into execution.

• Identify potential discrepancies in design documents and submit clarifying questions or assumptions when necessary.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing, material trends, and labor rates.

Education, Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrical estimator focused on commercial and/or industrial projects.

• Proficient in interpreting electrical construction drawings, details, and specifications.

• Familiarity with estimating tools and systems, such as Accubid and Bluebeam.

• Working knowledge of electrical equipment, materials, installation methods, and applicable codes.

• Solid Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple bids simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; capable of working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction.

• Familiarity with regional vendors and suppliers in Ohio or Indiana.

• Experience with early-phase or conceptual estimating and value engineering.
