Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant – Hospital and Home Health Sentara Health is hiring for an Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant – Hospital and Home Health. Status: Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours) Cross the VA and Northeastern NC for technical assistance visits approximately 2-3 times a month. Location: Will report daily at 1330 Sentara Park in Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities Oversee EHS Specialists obligations and responsibilities and support the EHS Manager with daily operations, development and monitoring of policies and procedures relevant to federal, state, and local compliance for employee safety and health. Conduct new employee interviews, hiring, development, and retention with a goal to build a reliable work team, and coordinate new hire orientation, precepting, and education for the EHS team. Serve as a resource consultant providing guidance, facilitation, planning and administration of safety training conducted by Occupational Health Services; maintain partnership with organization leaders to interpret policies, procedures, and legal regulatory requirements. Assist in oversight of federal, state, and local regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance and timeliness, and manage permits related to hazardous materials, air, pressure vessel testing, and waste disposal. Provide guidance and facilitation for occupational and environmental safety measures designed to reduce workplace injuries and exposures across Sentara entities. Education Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety or Environmental Safety is preferred. 5 years’ related experience required in lieu of a degree; must attain the degree within 5 years upon hire. Certification / Licensure Certified Healthcare Operations Professional (CHOP) – Basic preferred.
