Job Description

Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Type: Manufacturing

Location: Rancocas, NJ

Base Pay: Commensurate with exp.      Req’d Education: High School Diploma- Trade Training a plus

Description:

A warehouse position that deals with high volume and high complexity shipping in a manufacturing environment. Requires reading, math, and communication skills equivalent to a high school education along with two to three years of related experience, or equivalent. Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ship goods from the establishment and prepare records of shipped items

• Responsible for making up bills of lading.

• Post weight and keep files of shipping records.

• Receive incoming shipments of merchandise or other materials.

• Verify correctness of shipments against bills of lading, invoices, etc.,

• Keeps record of goods received.

• Report damaged goods and shortages.

• Route goods to the proper departments.

• Workers may use bar code readers, computer terminals or other electronic devices.

• Work will include material handling.

• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Attention to detail and good organizational skills

• Able to work independently

• Basic computer skills required

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar position or role

• Salary commensurate with skills and experience

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, stoop, hear, use fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms.

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time (estimated at 8-10 hours per day).

• Ascending and descending stairs and/or ladders.

• The noise level in the work environment is moderate manufacturing noise. Hearing requirements include the ability to hear and respond to instructions, communicate effectively in loud areas.

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

• Occasionally work in spaces with noise up to 100 dB (with company-provided ear protection).

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust

focus.

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

• May be exposed to dust or other irritants and electrical/mechanical/power equipment/heat hazards.

• Possible travel, working around others, and with others.

• Physical duties are subject to change.

Preferred:

• Experience using overhead and jib cranes

• Experience with lift machinery such as forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift

• Experience using ERP management system
