There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed for each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract, the traveler accepts the above and will report as assigned by the immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs. Candidates are expected to float between emergency department, main campus, outpatient, and clinics within walking distance of the main campus. The daily census is approximately 550. The patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Daily tasks will include various CT procedures such as abdomen without and/or with contrast, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, and more. The unit emphasizes teamwork and interdisciplinary support in patient care. Candidates must have skills in 3D rendering, preparation and administration of contrast media, and radiation safety. Staffing includes both outpatient and emergency department settings. Candidates should be prepared to cover weekend shifts as needed.
