Counter Sales Associate

#GEM-16538 Ocala, Florida, USA Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Job Description Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate effectively with internal teams, outside sales representatives, vendors, and contractors. Enter customer orders and assist customers in selecting products by asking targeted questions and actively listening to understand their needs. Recommend alternative or substitute products based on availability and customer requirements. Research and source products using multiple tools to meet customer specifications. Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding product information, pricing, quotes, and pickup or delivery timelines. Proactively communicate with customers regarding order status, delays, or potential issues. Assist in resolving customer service and relationship concerns with both dealers and end users. Complete the full sales order process while identifying opportunities to upsell related or complementary items. Manage showroom merchandising, including product organization and restocking to ensure an appealing and well-maintained sales floor. Comply with all safety policies and procedures related to job duties. Perform additional duties as assigned. In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry. Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service. Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service. Ability to work independently but meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. A willingness to learn and grow with our Company. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level. Experience in a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house preferred. Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may require working extra hours on occasion.
