Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU, IMCU, and general floor settings. Preferred 5+ years of ICU experience.
License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certification
Must-Have:
- Proficient in ventilator management, including initiation, monitoring, and weaning support.
- Experience with the use and adjustment of BiPAP and CPAP therapy.
- Skills in high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and moderate-flow oxygen therapy.
- Ability to perform tracheostomy care and airway management.
- Competence in arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis.
- Experience assisting with bronchoscopic procedures and conducting home oxygen evaluations.
Description: This position involves comprehensive respiratory care services covering acute care areas and inpatient units. The schedule is for 40 hours per week with required weekends. No major holidays are required. Dress code consists of hospital-approved scrubs. Responsibilities include patient transport with appropriate airway and oxygenation support. Assignment locations will vary based on departmental needs. Coverage may be required across multiple clinical areas within the facility.
