School Resource Officer

Karnes City Police Department in partnership with the Karnes City ISD established a School Resource Officer program. We currently have one (1) Karnes City SRO slot available. The SRO provides school security for the students, staff, and visitors. They shall also communicate well with school administration, students, and parents. The SRO is expected to provide a safe and secure environment on campus for the students and staff while maintaining a high visible presence on campus. They will investigate criminal acts that occur on school premises and lawfully arrest offenders. They will be required to maintain any education and training in accordance with TCOLE and state mandated requirements. During school holidays and summer, the SRO will be assigned to patrol. #J-18808-Ljbffr
