CNC LATHE OPERATOR

Job description – CNC LATHE OPERATOR $25-29.00

Established Aerospace Manufacturer located in Wixom, MI is looking to fill full time positions in our Lathe Department.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathe equipment with minimal supervision.

• Machining of aircraft parts holding tolerances as tight as .0005”

• Perform critical measurements using supplied gauging

• Maintain proper paperwork associated with planned job

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience

• Mechanical aptitude a plus

• Ability to translate prints along with understanding of GD&T

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Blueprint reading skills

• Shop math skills

• Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools are required

• Exposure to Haas or Okuma lathes a plus

• The ability to setup and bore lathe jaws

• Ability to set all tooling required for the job

• Understand G&M code with the ability to edit and write code at the machine when needed

• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading

• Has their own hand tools. For example, wrenches, allen wrenches, dead blow hammer

• Experience on Okuma lathes

• Experience with Mill-Turn/Multi axis lathes.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
