ROV Pilot Technician I

We are seeking an ROV Pilot Technician I to join our dynamic team. The role involves operating, maintaining and preparing the ROV system in accordance with company procedures while ensuring safety and quality standards. Duties & Tasks Familiarize yourself with the ROV system and its operation. Operate and maintain the ROV system in accordance with DOF procedures and standards. Execute all tasks assigned by the Operational ROV Supervisor, including ROV operations, maintenance, repair and preparation. Ensure adherence to internal and external Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements at all times. Participate in familiarization and debriefing sessions prior to mobilization or demobilization (if applicable). Take part in project responsibilities as specified in the project scope of work. Follow all guidance and instructions outlined in the Business Management System (BMS). Maintain accurate ROV logs, reports and ensure the quality of service aligns with DOF standards. Update and maintain ROV system documentation. Perform all assigned work tasks according to the established procedures and routines defined in the DOF Subsea quality system and relevant project procedures. Requirements Understand and operate within company HSEQ policies and operating standards. Adhere to mechanical and electrical principles and industry standards, observing safe working practices. Take responsibility for the health and safety of all staff under your control. Report all accidents, incidents and near‑misses. Complete additional HSEQ training, including leadership communication, workplace hazard recognition, incident investigation and reporting, behaviour‑based safety, management of change, stop‑work authority, job safety analysis and lock‑out/tag‑out. Work Experience Minimum 180 days offshore experience as Pilot Tech Grade II. At least 36 hours of ROV Operations experience. Qualifications Valid and current offshore medical certificate acceptable in the region of employment. Valid and current offshore survival certificate acceptable in the region of employment. Valid driver’s licence and passport. Degree level or equivalent Subsea operations knowledge. Skills Qualified and experienced in ROV Operations. Excellent organisational skills. Qualified in Electrical and/or Mechanical discipline. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document control systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Working knowledge of Oil and Gas industry technical specifications and standards. Work Environment and Physical Demands The role is predominantly offshore, with approximately 95% of time spent in offshore environments and contractor sites, involving moderate exposure to noise and machinery. Office work accounts for about 5% of the time. Travel is required. Physical demands include pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.
