Full-Time Float Nurse – Family Practice

Join Our Team!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Float Nurse to support our Providers across our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) locations . The home location for this position will be our Union Health Center, Union, WV , with travel to our other FQHC locations as needed.

This position works closely with our Family Practice Providers and clinical teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple locations. The Float Nurse will provide clinical support and help ensure continuity of care for our patients and Providers.

Position Highlights

• Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule
• No weekends
• Home location: Union Health Center
• Family Practice setting
• Travel between FQHC locations is required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support to Family Practice Providers and clinical teams.
• Assist with patient care, including assessments, treatments, medications, and other nursing services within scope of practice.
• Support Providers with examinations, procedures, and care coordination.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, Providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Assist with maintaining efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.
• Travel between assigned FQHC locations to provide coverage and clinical support.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow established clinical protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Promote quality, safety, and continuity of patient care.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical (LPN) license in West Virginia.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous Family Practice, primary care, or ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability and willingness to travel between FQHC locations as needed.
