Production Planner – TalentZokOVERVIEW Immediate opening for a Production Planner in El Monte, CA. Responsibilities Run and review MRP reports daily to identify production priorities, material requirements, and scheduling needs. Create, release, and manage work orders to support manufacturing operations and customer demand. Monitor and track parts throughout the entire manufacturing process, including welding, machining, polishing, and assembly. Coordinate with production personnel to ensure jobs are progressing according to schedule and address any bottlenecks or delays. Review production reports and analyze manufacturing data to maintain schedule accuracy and efficiency. Maintain accurate production planning data and work order information within the MRP system. Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, and delivery commitments to internal departments. Ensure inventory, materials, and resources are available to support production schedules. Generate and distribute production schedules, reports, and related manufacturing documentation. Walk the production floor regularly to monitor work‑in‑process, verify production status, and support manufacturing operations. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, scheduling, and workflow efficiency. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in Production Planning, Scheduling, Production Control, or a related manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and manufacturing processes. Experience supporting fabrication and assembly environments, including welding, machining, polishing, and assembly operations preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. English required; Spanish bilingual skills are a plus. APICS CPIM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related certifications are preferred.
