WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Ensures optimal document image results by making minor maintenance and system setting adjustments to the scanning equipment as required. Validates the integrity of medical record data by ensuring that documents are clear, legible and labeled with appropriate patient identifiers.

• Determines document types within the document imaging application to ensure the accuracy of the medical record.

• Identifies and recommends opportunities for workflow improvement, procedures, and policies for prepping, scanning and indexing techniques.

• Serves as subject matter expert in scanning and indexing processes to assist clinical staff in locating scanned documents within electronic health record.

• Answers calls, serves walk-in Release of Information requests.

• Demonstrates technical expertise of the electronic health record, document imaging application and scanning equipment.

• Monitors document imaging system effectiveness through day-to-day workflow operations.

• Performs technical troubleshooting and reports system and/or equipment issues through the helpdesk system.

• Understands organization electronic records, appropriate documentation, and information update processes

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma/GED- Required

• 1 Year- Basic Computer/Office Equipment Experience- Required

• 1 Year- Customer Service Role Experience- Required

• 2 Years- Healthcare Setting Experience- Preferred

• 1 Year- Epic EMR/Document Imaging Experience- Preferred
