Team Manager

Location: 1421 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, KS, 66604 Position Description Our Panera Bread cafes are upscale, friendly cafes featuring baked breads and pastries. We serve made-to-order soups, salads and sandwiches as well as specialty espresso beverages. Managers oversee up to 75 staff members, ensuring a top-quality service experience for guests. Core responsibilities include leading a high-performing team, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, managing daily operations, and driving business performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as a role‑model and lead the team. Ensure team members provide excellent customer service. Take ownership of the business performance of the restaurant. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following all safety and sanitation standards and procedures. Run quality opening, mid, and closing shifts ensuring a consistent positive customer experience. Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts. Greet customers and conduct table visits to ensure satisfaction. Recruit, train, and motivate staff. Assist the specialist within the bakery‑cafe, ensuring team members are properly trained in all aspects of food service and customer support. Ensure objectives are achieved while operating within all company guidelines and following ethical business practices. Promote and embody company values and beliefs. Education and Experience At least 1‑2 years of hospitality experience. Food Management Certifications a plus. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Strong organization, customer service, and time management skills. Proven leadership track record. Passion, energy, and a positive attitude. Ability to work well under pressure with a diverse group of people. Physical Standards Must be able to stand and move for up to 10 hours in length. Can lift up to 50 pounds.
