Financial Data Analyst

Financial Data AnalystWe are seeking a Financial Data Analyst to join our audit services team. In this role, you will analyze client spend data to identify policy violations, trends, sourcing opportunities, and off-contract spend.You will work with large datasets, uncover meaningful insights, and communicate findings that help organizations improve compliance and reduce risk.You will also play a key role in supporting and testing our internal AI platform, Minerva, helping ensure data quality and performance as we continue to expand our capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze large datasets using internal tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesReview financial transactions and supporting documentation for policy complianceDeliver findings to clients and respond to questions with clear, professional communicationOrganize and manage client data, reports, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and accessibilityIdentify supplier categories and lines of business within spend dataConduct investigative analysis to detect patterns, anomalies, and potential issuesPerform quality assurance on reports and audit outputsPrepare and manage datasets for analysis (including data intake, validation, and processing)Maintain client-specific configurations within internal software toolsSupport coordination of customer training sessions and communicationsAssist with uploading, testing, and validating data within our AI platformContribute to improving internal processes and tools through feedback and testingSkills & QualificationsBachelor's degree required (Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field preferred)2-7 years Financial Data Analyst experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas required; willingness to learn more advanced skills)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracyCurious and inquisitive mindset with a desire to investigate and understand dataAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesHigh integrity and ability to handle confidential informationWhat You'll GainHands-on experience analyzing real-world financial and operational dataDirect exposure to client interaction and business problem-solvingTraining on proprietary tools, audit methodologies, and AI-driven analyticsExperience working with emerging AI technology (Minerva) in a practical business settingOpportunity to grow into advanced analytical, audit, or client-facing rolesWork Environment & BenefitsFull-time, in-office role in Oakbrook Terrace, ILFlexible schedule during standard business hoursOption to work remotely up to 20% after initial trainingHealth insuranceSimple IRA with employer matching and immediate vestingPaid time offAdditional InformationBackground check requiredMust be able to commute to Oakbrook Terrace, IL
