Behavioral Health TechnicianSince its founding in 1985, Queen of Peace Center (QOPC) has been providing family-centered behavioral healthcare for women, children, and families. As a member of the Federation of Catholic Charities, we serve the metropolitan and surrounding St. Louis area through four core programs: prevention, education, treatment, and housing.Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, Queen of Peace Center, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct, non-clinical support to inpatient and outpatient clients. Under the supervision of the Residential Manager, this role promotes client health and well-being through crisis intervention, therapeutic activity support, group facilitation, and daily client care. The Behavioral Health Technician helps maintain a safe, supportive environment while upholding the mission, vision, and values of Queen of Peace Center. This is a Full Time position.Overview and Responsibilities:Assist clients in meeting goals as developed by the treatment team.Provide continuous supervision of clients ensuring compliance with scheduled servicesComplete intake, orientation, explain rules, complete introductions to encourage participationComplete safety check of client's personal belongingsMaintain confidentiality as dictated by HIPAAMonitor/Supervise client participation in assigned activities/requirementsAnswer phones professionallyDocument any and all concerns related to clients behavior in daily shift log and in Electronic Health Record and communicate to proper staff membersMaintain a clean and safe environment in addition to supervising choresMonitor vital signs as requiredServe as a positive role modelComplete documentation of group logs and following safety and programmatic protocolsAdhere to medication policies and work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure all medication protocols are followed and charted accurately and appropriatelyComplete daily progress notes for each client within program guidelinesFacilitate assigned and scheduled groups as requestedScreen and monitor detoxification clientsMaintain licensure (LIMA, CPR, FA)Other duties as assignedSkills and Knowledge Requirements:Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or an Associate's degree in human services or other related field preferredCPR/First Aid and Med-Level 1 CertificationMissouri Class E driver's license or other comparable license preferred2 years' experience working in a residential setting, preferably in substance use or behavioral health preferredOral and written communication skillsQueen of Peace Center does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in the admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its federally assisted programs and activities.
