Hours 36 hours per week (No weekends) Job Responsibilities Assists clinicians in providing patient care using the full scope of their training Performs both clinical and administrative functions to support patient care delivery Facilitates smooth patient flow throughout the clinic Conducts triage phone calls and coordinates communication between patients, caregivers, providers, and care teams Provides clerical and administrative support, including documentation coordination and supply ordering Ensures all responsibilities are performed in accordance with organizational policies and procedures Job Qualifications Experience Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable role Preferred: At least 3 years of Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting Relevant specialty experience strongly preferred Education High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of one of the following: An approved Medical Assistant training program An unapproved training program plus successful certification through AAMA, AMT, or another recognized national certifying body A U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program Completion of a relevant clinical program Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) required Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or equivalent certification required Special Skills Strong multitasking ability across both clinical and administrative functions Excellent organizational and communication skills Training Phlebotomy EKG Glucometer testing Electronic Health Record (EHR) and clinical systems utilization Transcription Benefits City of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
