Your Day
br p strongThe job responsibilities may include the following:/strong br ul liDriving long distances while transporting finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers. liReporting any incidents encountered on the road to a dispatcher. liFollowing all applicable traffic laws. liInspecting trailers before and after the trip, and recording any defects found. liMaintaining a log of work hours, rest periods, miles driven and fuel/toll receipts, following all regulations. liReporting serious mechanical problems to appropriate personnel. liMaintaining trucks and associated equipment in clean and good working order. liInspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues as well as performing preventative maintenance. liPlanning routes and meeting delivery schedules. liComplying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies a
